Post #12 – Women’s Memoirs, Writing Prompt – Kendra Bonnett and Matilda Butler
Written by: Promptly Portland
I have often thought of my life as a series of decisions. Of course many aspects of life are completely out of our control (such as the actions of others or the simple forces of nature), yet all of us can recall those moments in life when we face serious, life-changing choices. Some decisions cause us to change career or educational paths, while other decisions are intensely personal, causing us to dive into or out of relationships and friendships. These decisions ultimately play a major role in defining our lives and our identities.
However, the most tragic decisions can be the ones we don’t make, the ones that paralyze us, the ones that cause us to surrender to fear. Fortunately, we can redefine our lives daily. We can address our “wrong” choices and learn not to make those mistakes again, if we are lucky.
