Memoir Writers Say It With Book Trailers

Book Business PaperclipPost #80 – Women’s Memoirs, Book Business – Kendra Bonnett and Matilda Butler

Hey all you memoir writers and aspiring authors, it’s time we talk about marketing and book trailers…again.

Yes, we’ve written about the importance of creating a book trailer as part of your online marketing package several times before. But today, I’m going to try to reinforce that message. Yes, I know that all you writers want to concentrate on your craft and leave marketing to your publishers.

Sorry, it just doesn’t work that way today. Even successful authors are having to get into the marketing groove.

But how to break through and convince you?

Well, Napoleon said, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Aristotle wrote, “The soul never thinks without a picture.”

FTD says it with flowers. I say it with pictures. Or, in this case, a video. This one comes to us by way of contemporary author Max Barry.

Humor helps reinforce a point. Enjoy. Then get to work.
