Now we have some interesting statistics to back that up:

  • And this first one is staggering. According to comScore.com, during just the month of August 180 million Internet users in the United States each watched, on average, 18 hours of video. Wow. Furthermore, US Internet users collectively engaged in 6.9 BILLION viewing sessions.
  • When speaking at the Liveclicker Summit, Founder and CEO of ReelSEO.com Mark Robertson told attendees that 73 percent of retailers in the United States put video on their product pages to help them sell. Robertson explained the power of video like this: “Online video is the swiss army knife of internet marketing. I really can be used all over the customer lifecycle, whether it’s customer service, marketing, or even recruitment.”
