Post #5 – Women’s Memoirs, Conversations – Kendra Bonnett and Matilda Butler
It’s January 2009. Time for resolutions, goal setting and planning. If writing your memoir, finishing it or getting it published is your primary objective, we’d like to help you fulfill your dream. Listen to our first Women’s Memoirs Writers Conference Call. It’ll be informative…and FREE.
So what’s standing in the way of you writing your memoir? Do you have a burning question that you need answered? Are you looking for a writing coach or an online class to keep you moving forward? Perhaps you want clarification on dialogue techniques or maintaining point of view. Maybe you want to add more color and sensory feeling to your story. Are you concerned about truthfulness in memoir writing? Worried about how family members may react? Interested in a collective memoir? What ever your question, bring it on because this is YOUR chance to get your question answered for free.
Matilda Butler and I are hosting our Women’s Memoirs Writers Conference Call on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 5PM PST. We’re expecting that it will run about a half hour, unless you deluge us with questions…then who knows. And toward the end of the call, we’ll give you a special code you can use to purchase our newly released Women’s Memoir “All Day” Writing Workshop DVD at a very deep discount. And there’s more…but we’ll save all that for the call.
Just leave your question in the Comments section of this post (below). Ask us your most pressing question. And while you’re here, go to the middle column (to the right of this post) and sign up for our Blog News and Tips. Just enter your name and email address. Then you’ll be among the first to receive the phone number and access code for the live call. Space will be limited, so we encourage you to call in a few minutes early on Wednesday, January 14th.
This free call is our way of introducing ourselves and our upcoming class through Story Circle Network, entitled “Start Small Finish Big: From Memoir Vignette to Publication, Part One.” We are using this eight-week, online class to get you moving toward publication by: 1) using memoir vignettes to cut your writing task down to size, 2) providing techniques for giving your writing a more personal voice, greater sensory detail, color and focus, and 3) moving you toward publication by giving you an opportunity to write a vignette for our ScrapMoir series. You’ll share your writing with the class and gain valuable feedback.
So go to the Comment section below right now and post your question. Then join us live on January 14th. We look forward to your attendance and hope to see you in class as well. Remember to sign up (TO THE RIGHT) so we can send you the phone number and access code to hear the call live.
