Post #44 – Memoir Writing, Journaling – Matilda Butler and Kendra Bonnett
Journaling Day 7: The Party’s Over, It’s Back to the Salt Mines

The final day of our fantastic week, our seven-day journey in celebration of Kendra’s upcoming 60th birthday, arrived today. We got up in North Adams, MA, eager to visit the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MOCA), our treat of the day.
Of course, we have worked on the road. In addition to the daily blogging, Kendra and I have spent hours working on our upcoming products. Here’s what you can anticipate over the coming six months:
1. Marketing Your Book: Strategies for Success (Our first ebook.)
2. Writing Alchemy: The Art and Science of Turning Your Words Into Gold (Yes. We know how long it has taken us, but our materials keep improving through our teaching and we are now finalizing our book.)
3. JACKPOT: HOW TO CREATE A WINNING STORY. Our new two-day workshop. You’ll hear from us soon about this one.
4. Rosie’s Daughters: The “First Woman To” Generation Tells Its Story, Second Edition with an all new chapter focused on the decade since I interviewed an extraordinary group of ordinary women born during World War II. My most recent interviews brought to light a number of surprises about the past 10 years as well as goals for the decade of their 70s.
5. Our online version of The [Essential] Women’s Memoir Writing Workshop is almost ready to go live. We’ve sold hundreds of copies of our DVD version over the past several years. What’s great about thenew online version is that you will now be able choose individual lessons to purchase as well as the entire set of 21 lessons.
We drove our rental car back to where Kendra left her car for the week, transferred the new books purchased along the way, plus her luggage back into her bright red Mini Cooper, and said our goodbyes. Goodbye, that is, until we next Skype in another day or two with a progress update on our to-do list.
Thanks for joining us on our travels through the Berkshires and the Hudson Valley.
