Memoir Writing Advice from Some of the Best

There are a number of books for memoir writers and all of them offer at least a few real gems. Others seem to overflow with advice. Recently, I was once again leafing through On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King. It is hard to get more than five pages before one of these gems sparkles in the light, once again reminding me that King’s volume is one of the important books in this category.

This time I came upon some advice that immediately reminded me of Virginia Woolf. Both of them address an issue that Kendra and I run into all the time with women we teach. I’ll let the video speak for itself. If you’ve already taken care of the basics outlined by both King and Woolf, then you’ll still like the reminder at the end of truth in writing.
