Post #1 – Memoir Writing, Journaling Guest Blog – Amber Starfire
This is Kendra Bonnett and Matilda Butler, and we are pleased to introduce our Women’s Memoirs family to Amber Starfire. Those of you familiar with Story Circle Network (SCN) and all the wonderful products and services they have to offer, no doubt already know Amber. She’s an active member who lends her talents to teaching online classes in journaling, managing the SCN blog (Telling HerStories) and editing several of the SCN publications. Amber also blogs on her own site, Writing Through Life.
Amber is a wonderful asset to our site…in part because we know how many memoir writers are interested in or already dedicated to journaling. Also, in part, because neither of us are journaling currently. So Matilda and I will be learning right along with all of you.
Rather than have Amber actually write a post for this first blog, we thought it would be nice to let you get to know her on a slightly more personal and intimate level by hearing her speak. Below you’ll find a brief video. On Thursday, I spent a little time on the phone with Amber asking her to share her vision both for journaling, in general, and how she’ll relate it to memoir writing.
