We get a number of announcements that might interest you across our desks (well across our screens) and thought we pass on three today.
1. GREEN BOOKS.
If you have written a book that leads to better understanding for, respect of, and possible action on behalf of the environment, then you will be interested in the 2010 Green Book Festival. They have just issued their Call for Entries. The award will be given at the LA Garden Show, April 30 – May 2. The book can be self-published or published with an independent.

2. DIY BOOK FESTIVAL – DEADLINE APPROACHING
The DIY Book Festival is hosting the 8th award event. If you have a book (self-published or independent publisher) published after January 1, 2006 (yes, that is not a typo), they you are eligible to enter. There are a number of categories, including biography/autobiography. The upcoming deadline is January 25, 2010.
There is a grand prize award for the best book of the year. The award is $1500 in cash plus a flight to the awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
