Women’s Memoirs Upcoming Contest Deadline
Corvallis, Oregon just went from winter to summer this year. I kept looking for spring, but must have missed it. I was probably in the shower.
But although I saw spring flowers through raindrops, I felt the gentle warmth of spring with its sweet breezes in my memories of springs past. Do you have a special memory that you associate with spring? Women’s Memoirs invites you to choose one memory and write that story. Write it, edit it, read it to a friend or your writing group, and then polish it again.
Why?
We’d like you to submit it to our Women’s Memoir Spring Contest. We’ll review all the entries and choose the best of them. Those chosen will be published in an ebook anthology of spring memoir vignettes. By submitting your story, you are granting us the right to publish if your story is chosen. Of course, you retain the copyright.
Stories, in general, should center around the months of April, May, and June although there is always a little wiggle room. The story can come from any time in your life — childhood or adult years. The tone is also up to you — happy or sad — for life gives us all kinds of experiences.
Memoir Contest Rules
The contest deadline is July 31, 2013 so you have another month, plenty of time to craft a jewel of a story. And, as always, there is no fee to submit.
You’ll need to follow the additional rules. Click here to read them.
We look forward to receiving your stories. We hope you’ll share this information with other writing friends.
