Post #84 – Memoir and Fiction, Writing Alchemy – Kendra Bonnett and Matilda Butler
Memoir Can Be More Than Writing
In our new book, Writing Alchemy: How to Write Fast and Deep, Kendra Bonnett and I focus on writing, writing better, writing with a new approach. And while we want to help you become better writers, we mention in our book that there are alternate forms of memoir. One of our examples is the audio book Sightlines: A Family Love Story in Poetry and Music by Janet Riehl.
Today, Women’s Memoirs is pleased to share with you three pieces of a memoir produced as a series of videos by Jorgelina Zeoli. Jorgelina continues to add to her story so these are not all of the ones that currently exist. I’m sure she will do more. But, this set of videos will show you how one person decided to write about her life — about how she has struggled to come to terms with her life. These have been selected and organized by Jorgelina. So although the numbers on the videos do not seem to be in the right order, they are the order of Jorgelina’s life story.
We invite you to watch these videos, learn about Jorgelina’s story, and consider if videos might be relevant to the telling of your story.
