Kendra and I traditionally focus on memoir writing, memoirs, and memoir writing prompts. Because many of our students journal and use these journals as source material for their memoirs, we have wanted to extend ideas and suggestions to include journaling. We turned to Amber Starfire to share with you her knowledge and insights about journaling and we hope you follow her posts each Saturday on Womens’ Memoirs in our Journaling Category as well as regularly visit her website: Writing Through Life (You’ll find some of my blog journaling entries about my move from California to Oregon in that category, but mainly you’ll find inspirational posts by Amber.)
Today, I want to add to the focus on journaling through a brief video that we hope will motivate you to “get to journaling.” Those of you who are already journaling will find a take-away designed to make your journaling even more significant. And if you don’t journal, we hope you’ll watch the video because it just may give you a way to use journaling to improve your writing. In other words, don’t say “never” until you’ve seen what journaling can do for you.
