Memoir Writing Prompt
A couple of weeks ago, when I returned from a working vacation in Hawaii, I created the first memoir writing prompt video based on an idea I got while sitting on the lanai, looking at the azure blue Pacific Ocean. Today I’m posting the second in this series of Postcards from Hawaii Writing Prompts. It took me longer to create this video than anticipated because I wanted to base it on photos from some of my previous trips.
Now that doesn’t sound like much of a problem. Everyone takes pictures today with either a digital camera or even a handy phone. However, I am in the process of moving and I had packed all my older pictures in boxes, sealed them, and temporarily stored the lightly categorized photos under the house. When I turned to this video, I found some digital pictures but they just weren’t what I had in mind. Therefore, back to the old technology of color prints. I opened all the boxes and began sorting and eventually scanning.
All of this was to give you an idea for a new type of writing prompt. I hope you like it and that you’ll have a different way to delve into writing about yourself or someone else.
