I liked this interview with Rita Mae Brown and I am piqued to read her book. The concept of using strong verbs and eliminating adverbs from our writing makes sense and many writers know this simple trick to making their stories more powerful. But we need constant reminders, and thank you for this one. It is too easy to fall into the trap of using adverbs to enhance what you are saying, even when you know the opposite is the effect you get.
